Description

[Introduction]
-In March 2004, JR Kyushu introduced the limited express train [Hayato no Kaze] on the Hisatsu Line due to the Kagoshima Chuo Shinkansen extension.
-The vehicle is a modification of the existing Kiha 40 series and is the first limited express vehicle in the same series.
-Near the center of the car body painted in royal black, there is an observation window that wraps around to the roof, and there is a free space inside.
-The general seat part was replaced with a rotating reclining seat, and a power counter for vehicle sales was installed at the car end.
-Initially, the formation included both driver's cabs Kiha 140, but since the same car was modified as a common spare, [Hayato no Kaze] dedicated painting is only for single driver cabs Kiha 47 and Kiha 147. Was
-Currently active between Kagoshima Chuo and Yoshimatsu.
