キハ261-1000はJR北海道が所有する特急形ディーゼルカーで、特急「とかち」のキハ183系置換え用として2006年に登場しました。

[Actual vehicle guide]
--The Kiha 261-1000 series is a limited express diesel car owned by JR Hokkaido, and appeared in 2006 as a replacement for the Kiha 183 series of the limited express [Tokachi].
――It was a style with a blue tone and a logo at the beginning, but from 2015, it was changed to white with purple and gray bands and yellow on the front.
――The 6th car, which appeared with a new white paint from the beginning, is equipped with two wipers for the driver's seat window and started operation at [Super Hokuto] belonging to Hakodate.
――The number of trains continues to increase, and it is expected to be the main limited express train in Hokkaido.
