TOMIX HO-2024 JR EF66-100形電気機関車 (前期型)

EF66形100番代は国鉄民営化後の貨物輸送需要増加に対応する列車増発用として、1989年から33両が製造された直流用の電気機関車です。
基本的な性能はEF66形0番代と同等ながら、ヘッド・テールライトが前面窓下に横並びで配置されるなど車体形状が大きく変更され塗装もJR貨物標準色となったことから、EF66形0番代とは外観が大きく変化しました。
101～108号機はヘッド・テールライトが丸型ライトとなっているのが特徴です。
EF210形の登場後も東海道・山陽本線を中心に貨物列車のけん引に活躍しましたが、現在では丸型ライトを装備した前期型を中心にEF210形300番代への置き換えが進んでいます。
